Don't Drink and Paint

Hi guys! Thanks for checking this out. This is my first *ever* scrap room. I am only going to be living here for another 5 months, but I want to paint it! I always think I have an awesome idea about painting, but when I do it, it turns out BAD. So I am recruiting your help! Please post pics or links of great organizational ideas, color schemes, painting techniques, ETC! If I use your idea in my scrap room I will send you some goodies in the mail. Thanks for watching!

If you are going to live there only another 5 months, I seriously would not paint. Save the paint for your next residence. I would just add an inspiration wall.... An easy way to do this is hang a curtain rod and get some hooks to hang from the rod that you can hang your inspiration/art from. It looks cute as well as functional. Plus you can change your pieces around as you see fit.

However, when you do decide to paint I will vote for orange. This is my favorite color and gets me excited to create art. My room is painted Cantelope. Seriously the color is named Cantelope and is that exact color. So not too bright but not too washed out. The trim as well as shelves, etc. in my room is white. I then have used bright orange and pink as decor. Looks bright and inspirational!

When I had to leave in a few months and it is not important how it looks for the next one who comes in there, I just put everything on the wall that I liked. For inspiration!, layouts, pieces of beautiful paper, pages torned out of a magazine. All the colors of the rainbow.
Well, just go wild! I would love to do that. I am going to re-cecorate my scraproom and at the moment it is full of pieces of wallpaper that I like, quotes etc.
Love it!

I agree, dont paint, just slap up all your inspiration, use the walls as a bulletin board and use that fun tack stuff or tacks!

I am in love with teal right now. I love bright colors and if it's only for five months - I say go bold! Do red or orange (both of which would go GREAT with teal too!) Do you have to repaint before you move? IF so - I'm lazy and would say that's too much work - painting twice in 5 months. Otherwise - GO FOR IT!
